About this place
One of Terceira's oldest chapels, linked to the earliest days of settlement in São Sebastião.
Azzy’s story
Tradition says that Frei João da Ribeira found a spring here and considered it a divine grace, giving rise to devotion to Nossa Senhora da Graça. The chapel certainly existed by the 16th century and became an important place of worship for the people of São Sebastião.
