Coastal lighthouse opened in 1908 at Ponta do Queimado on the western end of Terceira Island.
Azzy’s story
Farol da Serreta began lighting this coast in 1908, guiding vessels along one of Terceira's most exposed stretches. After being damaged by the 1980 earthquake, it was rebuilt and modernised and still watches over the Atlantic from Ponta do Queimado.
