Franciscan church whose origins date to the early settlement of Terceira, rebuilt and incorporated into Convento de São Francisco from 1666, forming one of Angra's most important religious complexes.
Azzy’s story
Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Guia grew from the Franciscan presence on Terceira and accompanied Angra's religious life for centuries. Today it forms part of the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo and still houses a historic organ built in 1788.
