Azzy’s story

Devotion to Saint George in Doze Ribeiras dates back to the first years of settlement, when a small chapel was built here. The church was destroyed by the 1893 hurricane and again by the 1980 earthquake, then rebuilt and inaugurated in 1986, remaining one of the parish's main symbols.
