About this place
Museum centre opened in 2016 in the former Boa Nova Military Hospital, an early-17th-century building, dedicated to the military history of the Azores and the evolution of weaponry.

Here, centuries of military history come to life through weapons, uniforms, artillery pieces and other historic objects. Housed in a former military hospital, the museum helps explain the strategic role that Angra and the Azores played over time.
