About this place
Former military powder magazine, probably dating from the 17th century, near Pico das Cruzinhas and integrated into Monte Brasil's defensive complex.
Azzy’s story
At first glance it may look like a small abandoned church, but these walls hide a military past. Gunpowder for the fortress was stored here in a protected location among the vegetation of Monte Brasil.
