Historic street laid out in the late 15th century to connect the harbour area and Customs House directly with the centre of Angra do Heroísmo.
Azzy’s story
Rua Direita was created to lead those arriving at the harbour straight to the heart of the city. Over the centuries it became one of Angra do Heroísmo's main commercial and urban thoroughfares.
