Azzy’s story

Solar da Madre de Deus was the Bettencourt family's residence for centuries and witnessed some of the most important episodes in Angra's history. After damage from the 1980 earthquake, it was acquired and restored by the State and is now used by the Representative of the Republic in the Azores.
