Walking trail within Monte Brasil, crossing volcanic scenery and protected vegetation to the ruins of Forte da Quebrada, a former defensive structure of Fortaleza de São João Baptista.

This trail takes you through one of Monte Brasil's wildest areas, among volcanic slopes, vegetation and Atlantic views. Along the way appear the ruins of Forte da Quebrada, built to protect one of the old fortress's most vulnerable flanks.
